These terms and conditions apply to all purchases of goods from Sophia Home through our website, www.SophiaHome.com.
In these terms, “we” and related pronouns refer to Sophia Home, while “you” refers to customers shopping from Sophia Home and purchasing our products. We reserve the right to update our terms and return policy at any time, and any changes will apply to new orders after being posted on our website. We reserve the right to modify, pause, discontinue, or permanently end any services, sales, or product offerings on our site at any time, with or without notice.
How to Place Your Order:
Here’s an example phrased for a Cash on Delivery (COD) order:
- Select your items, add them to your shopping cart, and click “Proceed to Checkout.”
- Fill in your information, select “Cash on Delivery” (COD) as your payment method, and continue.
- Review your order carefully. Once confirmed, your order will be processed and shipped to your provided address.
- Upon delivery, you will be required to pay our carrier in cash.
Custom Products and Pre-Orders:
- A 50% deposit is required for all custom orders.
- The remaining 50% must be paid before delivery.
- Custom orders take approximately up to 5 months from the date of the deposit is received, excluding holidays.
- Requests to modify custom orders (e.g., finish or fabric) can be made within 3 days of the deposit.
- Custom orders are non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable once the deposit is processed.
- By making the 50% deposit, you agree to the Custom Order Terms and Conditions.
Storage options:
- Sophia Home is pleased to provide complimentary 30 days storage for your order from the date of the invoice.
- After this period, a storage fee of AED 100 per day will be applicable.
Payment Options
Sophia Home offers multiple convenient payment options to ensure a seamless shopping experience: Cash on Delivery (COD), Online Payment Gateway (CCAvenue), Tabby, and Tamara. Please choose the option that best suits your needs.
Cash on Delivery (COD)
COD is available only for UAE-based orders. Before placing a COD order on www.sophiahome.com, please review the following terms:
- COD is applicable only within the UAE.
- Orders exceeding AED 5,000 require full payment prior to delivery.
- For credit card payments, select the credit card option at checkout.
- Failure to accept an order or make full payment upon delivery may result in:
- Loss of COD privileges
- Account suspension
- Additional fees: AED 250 will be charged for any returned or cancelled COD orders.
Important note for GCC Orders:
- COD is not available for orders outside the UAE.
- Orders from outside the UAE that select COD may be cancelled by Sophia Home without prior notice.
- Customers outside the UAE must complete payment in advance via the approved online payment methods to confirm their order.
CCAvenue
CCAvenue is a secure online payment gateway accepting Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking, Cash Cards, and Mobile Payments. All card details remain safe and secure when using this option.
Tabby
Tabby allows you to split your purchase into 4 monthly payments with no interest or fees. Simply select Tabby at checkout. Read more about Tabby here. Tabby T&C applies.
Tamara

Delivery and Shipping Terms & Conditions
Sophia Home is pleased to offer delivery across the UAE, shipping to all GCC countries (including Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait), and international shipping support for other locations worldwide. We aim to provide a smooth and secure delivery experience, whether you are receiving your order locally or arranging international shipping. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully to understand your responsibilities and ours.
Delivery Across the UAE
- Orders will be delivered within 10 working days from the billing date.
- Orders over AED 1,500 are delivered free of charge; orders below AED 1,500 have an AED 250 delivery fee.
- Clients are eligible for 30 days of free storage from date of purchase.
- If the client requests a change to the confirmed delivery date, they will be responsible for storage fees of AED 100 per day for any period exceeding the 30-day free storage, to cover the cost of storing and safeguarding the furniture.
Proof of Handover
- Sophia Home provides documentation confirming goods were handed over in good condition within the UAE.
Shipping Across the GCC
- Sophia Home coordinates delivery and shipping across the GCC, including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait) and international shipping support for other locations worldwide through trusted third-party shipping companies.
- For orders outside GCC countries, Sophia Home provides international shipping support by preparing all necessary documentation and packing the items for the client’s shipping company to pick up from our location.
- Shipping costs are determined by the shipping company. Sophia Home’s role is ONLY to facilitate communication between the customer and the shipping provider to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.
- Sophia Home’s responsibility ends once the products are handed over to the shipping company in good condition.
- From the moment the order is picked up by the shipping company, all handling, insurance, and liability rests with the shipping company.

Insurance & Claims
- Shipments are insured according to the shipping company’s policies under the Service Liability Agreement (SLA).
- In the event of damage, loss, or delay, customers should contact the shipping company directly to file a claim.
Shipping Service & Customer Role
- Our trusted shipping partners handle door-to-door delivery, including customs clearance where applicable.
- Customers must provide accurate delivery information and be available to receive their goods.
- Any additional fees, duties, or taxes in the destination country, as well as unloading, unpacking, and assembling, are the responsibility of the customer.
CBM (Cubic Meter) Calculation
- CBM (Cubic Meter) refers to the total volume of your shipment. It is calculated based on the length × width × height of all items being shipped.
- Proper CBM calculation is important because it determines container space, shipping costs, and whether all items can fit safely in the shipment.
- Shipping companies are responsible for calculating the CBM for international shipping.
- Sophia Home provides product dimensions to assist with this process but is not liable for miscalculations or container capacity issues.
GCC Tax Refund
- The GCC VAT Refund Scheme does not apply to Sophia Home furniture purchases.
- Sophia Home does not process or handle VAT refund claims on behalf of customers.
- Customers wishing to claim a VAT refund must arrange this independently through their chosen shipping or tax authorities.
